Springfield Parish Council has cancelled its Christmas fayre at Springfield Parish Centre, which had been due on 28 November. The council said the decision followed a lack of interest and apologised for any disappointment. Essex Live
Hit and run appeal after motorbike collision
Essex Police are appealing for witnesses after two cars described as driving erratically knocked a motorcyclist off their bike on Melbourne Avenue at the junction with Chignal Road around 5.30pm on Monday 2 November. Plans to fill the old BHS unit in The Meadows
The Gym Group has applied for planning permission to use part of the former BHS store in The Meadows Shopping Centre as a gym on the first floor, with a ground floor entrance from Meadow Walk and the rest of the ground floor kept for retail.
